Hey there, I’m Shay :) I’m the type of girl who loves a good salad, but also won’t pass up pizza date night with the hubs or wine night with the girls.

I guess when it comes down to it I’m just a girl who wants to look & feel her best, achieve her goals, and enjoy life while doing it.

 

My Mission

I have always been passionate about health & wellness, so much so that I received my Bachelors degree in Fitness Management & Nutrition. But to be honest, I haven’t always been able to achieve a happy balance in my life with food & fitness. For years, I was stuck in a cycle of restriction during the week, going overboard on the weekends, feeling instantly guilty, and constantly pushing myself to the limit in the gym to make up for my indulgences.

It wasn’t until my back-to-back hip labrum surgeries two and a half years ago that I was finally able to transform my relationship with my body & food. I committed to eating more food than I ever have before to fuel my body for recovery. I discovered newfound joy in other types of lower-intensity exercise like walking, yoga and bodybuilding lifting. And most importantly I learned to love my body at every stage of my journey.

This extreme low point in my life became my best lesson and biggest blessing. I was able to discover the beauty of balance, find food & body freedom, and become the happiest, healthiest version of myself. This process has been life-changing for me, and I’m on a mission to help other women do the same on their own journey toward achieving sustainable results without giving up the things they enjoy in life.
